This purple spiral necklace was made from a design in the Beadworkers Guild “Necklace” book. I made this as a gift for my sister one Christmas, but disaster struck right at the last minute! The centre spiral (peyote) is worked as a separate piece to the spiral rope necklace and I think some of the seed beads I used were possibly size 12s instead of 11s. The central peyote piece ripped apart as I was trying to pull the spiral rope through (the hole was too narrow due to the smaller beads used) - there was nothing for it but to rework the centre section with different beads. Luckily, I just managed to complete the necklace in time for Christmas - and my sister loved it! Maybe I’ll get round to making one for myself one of these days - you never know!
